Book cover collage.......?
Okay so I wanted to be creative with my book covers this year, so I've been cutting out Words and pictures from magazines all summer. I wanted to somehow put them into a collage on the book covers. How do you suggest I do this? How do I prevent them from coming off all year? Thanks!
Being a mother of 5 girls, we have had the best memories over making book covers. Every year just one week before school started we got out all the craft supplies which was endless!
After everyone decided on their theme, we would pull all the craft supplies out and then we would make 1 trip to a discount store to buy what we needed (dollar stores are great).
Everyone cut out big, medium, small and itsy bitsy pictures out of magazines and we would divide them by color & size for all to use to make a larger picture plus supplies (scrap book embellishments, etc).
****all of our projects were made with "Modge Podge" as it dries quickly and you can layer all you want, it has a clear shiny finish. Using a roll of parcel post wrapping paper (again from a dollar store) was perfect as we could cut it to fit the size of each book.
To give you a good example, one cover was a picture of a bouquet of a few flowers. We would use pixs with a lot of pink, yellow & red. From about 5 feet away it looked like flowers and then as you got close up you could see that it was made using itsy bitsy and medium pixs.
